I love it when younger girls look up to older girls as role models and heroes. I love it when older girls enthusiastically support and protect younger girls. I love it when girls are psyched about the skills and accomplishments of other girls, I love it when girls compliment each other, take care of each other, encourage each other. I love it when girls realize how awesome and important they are. I love it when girls are fuckin’ pumped about girls.
Your beauty doesn’t come alive when someone compliments you, it’s always there. Remember that. In order to receive such a compliment, the very thing has to have been present in you before the complimenter arrived. I encourage you to celebrate your beauty. You don’t need a crowd or partner in order to acknowledge, recognize or celebrate your own beauty. Affirm yourself everyday. Tell yourself you’re gorgeous, because you are. Say the words “I’m beautiful” with bold integrity. Live for you. You matter.

You shouldn’t hate another women because she is beautiful and you shouldn’t hate yourself because another women is beautiful. Like, that’s the trap that women fall into so much and they are like ”She is so beautiful I hate her”. I could never say something like that about another women. I celebrate everyone’s beauty. Celebrate their beauty and celebrate your own, find the beauty in yourself.
Many strong girls have similar stories: They were socially isolated and lonely in adolescence. Smart girls are often the girls most rejected by peers. Their strength is a threat and they are punished for being different. Girls who are unattractive or who don’t worry about their appearance are scorned. This isolation is often a blessing because it allows girls to develop a strong sense of self. Girls who are isolated emerge from adolescence more independent and self-sufficient than girls who have been accepted by others.
Strong girls may protect themselves by being quiet and guarded so that their rebellion is known by only a few trusted others. They may be cranky and irascible and keep critics at a distance so that only people who love them know what they are up to. They may have the knack of shrugging off the opinions of others or they may use humor to deflect the hostility that comes their way.
Being a woman is hard af.
No boobs? Damn. Grow some. Boobs? Cover yourself. You’re so vulgar. No ass? Everyone will laugh at you for it. Ass? Well, better cover yourself cause you don’t wanna draw attention to that booty, right? Short? You need to wear those heels. Tall? Damn. You cannot be taller than men. Also, never wear heels. Skinny? Gotta gain weigh cause no one likes bones. Chubby? Eat healthy!!!! Nobody likes fat bitches. You like makeup? Hell no. Taking you swimming on the first date. No makeup? Please, take care of yourself. Don’t be so lazy.
We, women, are constantly shamed for everything so we, as well, might do whatever we want.
The problem was that I craved intimacy to the same degree that I detested commitment.
